(Some people say that you have no choice but to follow what’s trending and sing music that doesn’t suit you.) I hear that a lot. However, people aren’t saying ‘don’t sing that kind of music’, it’s more like ‘just don’t forget what you really want to do’. I think that’s a really complex question. Realistically speaking, this is something that can’t be helped. I have to suit the music tastes of the masses and can’t be stubborn about having things my way. Since the Korean music industry has succeeded in a certain genre, everyone’s going in that direction, resulting in a narrow range of music to choose from. After listening to a lot of songs recently, I keep forgetting what I liked initially, or what I want to do, which makes me worried. I get confused about what I should match myself to, or to whom I should listen to. Even so, I think I just need to steadily work my way up to show everyone that I’m not a kid who can only sing 'Marshmallow’ sort of songs.
